Basics
JC is one of the oldest tournaments in HA history, and its purpose is to determine HA’s strongest youth teams (U-21 age). Winners are awarded with a beautiful Cup. Managers can play with their A-team, B-team, or both.
Full integration into HA
- The schedule is generated automatically on Friday, Week 1 of a season (s. League – Tourneys – Junior Cup).
- If a manager didn't create the lines manually, HA generates the roster with eligible U-21’s instead.
- Note! If you have less than 16 good (not injured, not playing for National teams games in that day) youngsters in your lineup for the game, it will result in technical 0-3 loss for your team, and no ticket income or experience for players of both teams.
How the tournament is played
- There are 18 teams participating in the tournament, games are played on Saturdays and Sundays (except for semi-finals and finals in last week of the HA season).
1 phase: 17 normal friendly games.
2 phase: Play-off of the 8 best teams.
Quarterfinal - Sunday of week 9.
Semi-final - Friday of week 10.
Final and the 3rd place match - Saturday of week 10.
Application
Booking time starts on Thursday, 9th week of the season, at 19:10 HA time. Applications please send to the JC-administrator Geistero|LDR.
The first 18 applications will be accepted. Sometimes the weakest team can be replaced by the potential winner of the tournament.
Special application rule
In order to enhance the prestige of the Cup and raise the toughness of the competition, there is a special application rule. If a really strong team (like all or almost all players 21 years old) misses the application time, it will still be accepted for account of the weakest team in the roster. In this case the excluded weakest team gets the spot in the roster of the next season automatically. This special rule doesn't apply to the average teams, but only to the likely winners of the Cup.
Requirements
The participants must provide eligible U-21 roster to JC games. On Tuesday of Week 1 of each regular season, all teams must have at least 20 good U-21 players in their roster (good = player is not placed on the market, and not included in any National Team). If this requirement is not met, organizer holds rights to change the guilty team to those who fulfill the requirements.
It is each managers responsibility to follow the number of good U-21 players during the rest of the season. A team with more than one technical loss will be excluded from the following JC automatically, without a chance to apply for it.
